Shopping in Tokyo Harajuku: Gyre

I’m currently holidaying in Tokyo, Japan and shopping has been interesting. There are the main stream recognisable labels as well as more uniquely Japanese shops. Let’s start with the familiar first.
House to Comme des Garcon, Martin Margiela and even the MoMa Store, the place as you would imagine is somewhat leaning towards the avante garde.
The entrance of the mall. As you can see, it also houses Chanel and Bulgari.
The ‘display’ of Maison Martin Margiela. Like the entrance of a fashion show. Very modern and clean looking!
The Comme Des Garcon Trading Museum. With a beautiful wooden sculpture and cemented flooring.
Really interesting displays as seen in the ‘Trading Museum’. There’s even a collaboration with Paco Rabanne.
Comme des Garcon PLAY BOX on first floor of Gyre selling their PLAY series of t-shirts.
If you’re really for luxury food, there’s even a Bulgari Il Cafe to pamper your senses!
If you are a big fan of CDG, MMM or curious about the quaint items the MoMa store sells, do drop by when you’re in Japan!
Address: Omotesando street 5-10-1 Jingumae. Shibuya-ku Tokyo, Japan
