Surrealism by Christophe Coopens

I was looking through some books the other day when I chanced upon Belgian designer and artist, Christophe Coopens.

His experiences seem so colourful and endless! He started his first collection doing hats in the 90s due to popular demand, eventually venturing into a wide range of accessories. With his signature surrealistic designs, done with immaculate craftsmanship, he has collaborated with performers Roisin Murphy, Rihanna, Beth Ditto, Scissor Sisters and with upcoming designers as Manish Arora, Romain Kremer, JuunJ and Songzio. He has even designed three haute couture collections!

I love his quirky take on designs. It’s so fun and vibrant!

These are some designs he did in tribute of Georges Lepape.

Here’s something that you can still get from his shopping site, a parrot hat!

Nothing short of wearable nonetheless!

Here’s a wonderful video that reflects the same sense of surrealism. Beautiful.
