Count down to Fashion’s Night Out!

We are counting down the hours and minutes to Fashion’s Night Out!

For non-New Yorkers like us who cannot witness the action live, we can still enjoy the array of activities happening online.  Online collection launches and giveaways are taking place in conjunction with the annual event, including the launch of the LuLu & Co collection designed by Lulu Kennedy at Liberty.  Founder of Fashion East, Kennedy discovered an impressive list of designers, including Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, House of Holland, Gareth Pugh, Marios Schwab, Louise Goldin, Roksanda Ilincic and Meadham Kirchhoff.   Although she had no formal fashion background, her instinctive eye for creativity paced the way for many young designers in London.

In her words, Lulu says, “So excited to be spending Vogue Fashion’s Night Out at Liberty!  I’m launching the Autumn Winter Lulu & Co collection in a fabulous tropical themed HonoLULU Lounge. It’s an end of summer shake your coconuts frolick before autumn hits us square in the face.  For the launch be joined by Richard Nicoll, Michael van der Ham, Simone Rocha, Jonathan Saunders and Susie Bick who’ve all contributed to the new collection, so be sure to come down and join the luau!  We’d love you to rock your finest Hawaiian frocks and strike a pose in our postcard photo booth. You’ll get your own personalised HonoLULU souvenir postcard and Liberty will be featuring the best dressed on their Facebook page the following day. I’ll be doing my part in kitsch tropical prints and lots of glitter, dancing along to DJ Sloanie’s top tunes (he’ll be showing off an incredible Paradise Found Hawaiian shirt).”
