Too delicious to be eaten

It’s ridiculous.  They are made of food but we recognise them instantly from this season’s runways.

Award-winning Italian photographer, Fulvio Bonavia, has done it again.  Known for his creation A Matter of Taste, a publication of photography documenting food as fashion, Bonavia worked as a graphic designer and illustrator of film posters before his venture into photography.

With assistance from former Vogue editor Giovanna Battaglia, the latest looks from this season’s collections has been translated into a fashion spread for Dasha Zhukova’s Garage magazine.  These creations pay homage to Alexander McQueen, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Moncler through lettuce, orange slices, walnuts and anchovies.

What can I say?  Food, fashion, photography… all of them translate into art in the hands of an artist!

Which came first? Lady Gaga’s meat dress or this celebration of food and fashion. I love these designs. Absolutely gorgeous.
