As you probably may not know, I got married and had just returned from a short getaway honeymoon. So sorry for the the lack of posts and thank you Sybil for holding up the fort while I’m mentally and physically away the past two weeks. I enjoyed the wedding process much more than I imagined. It was really nice to have all my family and friends at the same place celebrating and sharing my joy.
During my trip to Krabi, I had the chance to go snorkeling, white water rafting, elephant trekking, ATV-‘riding’, on top of just relaxing and having a good time. The biggest feat personally was going into the sea of fishes to admire the corals as I have a ridiculous fear of fishes. It was definitely worth overcoming my fear for as the sight beneath the water was truly beautiful. The bright blue and yellow fishes were magnificent in the light of the water and I even got a view of a sea snake and a gorgeous turquoise blue and black striped sea creature gliding among the corals. All that before some of the other tour mates started throwing bread crumbs at me to lure the schools of fishes over.
The trip inspired me to look at couture inspired by snorkeling and I wondered how I could have missed these trends. Designers like Peter Pilotto, Herve Leger and Michael Kors seemed to have been inspired by scuba suits too.

On a totally different note, as I was searching for images of underwater fashion, I came across the works of Kristy Mitchell.
Eye candy for the monday blues!
