Shopping in Tokyo Shibuya

If you have watched the movie Hachiko: A Dog’s Tale about the true story about a dog’s devotion and love for his owner, you might be able to recognize the statue of the dog Hachi that is now mounted at the Shibuya train station.

Absolutely nothing to do with art or fashion but it serves as a good indicator of knowing you’re at Shibuya!

Otherwise the famous Shibuya cross junction could do the same!

The little street at Shibuya Jinnan Area along a slope.

Museum For Ships store. A Japanese brand that also has an online store.

( B1-3F, Jinnan 1-chome Bldg. 1-18-1 Jinnan, Shibuya-Ku 150-0041 Tokyo )

Another Japanese store Freak’s Store selling ‘clothes of the American Spirit’ – as quoted by them.

(1-13-1 2F Jinnan, Shibuya-Ku 150-0041 Tokyo )

You can also find many second hand clothing stores – menswear and womenswear alike:

The Primal Store selling 2nd hand clothing for men. Expect brands like Levis, Vans, Buttero, HTC and more!

(1-13-3 Jinnan, Shibuya-Ku 150-0041 Tokyo )

RAGTAG store- another 2nd hand clothing store around the area. Expect brands like Celine, Marni, Hermes and more!

(1-17-7 Jinnan, Shibuya-Ku 150-0041 Tokyo )

And finally, one of my favourite shops:

Rinkan brand. Unfortunately, it’s also the one store that I don’t have their website. It’s right across the G-star Raw shop (beside the Museum of Ships) so if you do drop by, you’ll know where to find it.

The store has quite a range of 2nd hand items of the more avant garde designers like Commes des garcon, Balmain, Balenciaga and even Alexander McQueen! Fabulous!

That’s all for now! Happy shopping if you are in Japan!

X Alex
